Drawing!!!
Friday, 12 August 2011 22:43Well, not right now I'm not drawing. But hopefully on Tuesday I will be. If things work out right, Fay and I will go to Immortal Pie and Larder on Tuesday somewhere before 4 with this one pic I haven't finished coloring, my art supplies, and some more paper for drawing. If things go even better than that, we'll clear off the table in tha living room and draw there.
Why the Pie and Larder place you may ask? Well some mental thingy is makin it hard to draw on the table. Partly, not enough room. I likes to have lotsa room to draw. Second, the body doesn't like being on its tummy for a long time, hurts the back and other stuff. So drawing on the laptop desk, laying on the floor, not so likely. There's room now to do that if we wanted to. Oh, and we've drawn (on the computer) at the Pie and Larder place, and they had a nice big table and not many people there. Also, tea!
We'd draw on the pooter at home, but the grafics tablet is all wonky. Works only as a giant touchpad now. Pen doesn't work. Spare pen doesn't work. I has a sad. :-(
Anyway, I wanna post more here. I'll try ta think a more stuff to write bout.
Brrr. I'm a havta remember to make us wear proper shoes to FredMeyer's, as well as the long sleeved blouse. My feets is cold from the AC.

Wednesday, 15 December 2010 03:12These are from the November-December issue of American Girl:
Pumpkin Pie
Add 1 tablespoon canned pumpkin pie and 1 teaspoon brown sugar to one cup hot chocolate. Stir until blended. Add a twirl of whipped cream and top with sprinkles and crushed graham crackers.
Gingersnappy Happy
Start with 1 cup hot chocolate. Add 1/4 teaspoon each ground ginger, allspice, and cinnamon. Top with whipped cream. Decorate the mug - make a small notch in a soft gingersnap, and place the cookie on the rim.
Berry Chocolatey
Add 1 tablespoon seedless raspberry jam to one cup hot chocolate. Stir until jam dissolves. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Finish with sprinkles and a raspberry. (Molly: I have raspberry syrup which would work better than the jam, I think.)
There were others, but I didn't like the sound of them as much. If you're curious, they're on pages 12 and 13 of 2010's November-December issue of American Girl. The cover model is a black girl wearing pink and purple.

Alignment meme
Friday, 3 December 2010 21:46[Molly's] Alignment
Based on your answers to the quiz, your character’s most likely alignment is Lawful Good.
Lawful Good
A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.
--excerpted from the Player’s Handbook, Chapter 6
Keep in mind the alignment suggested by the quiz is just that: a suggestion. It describes your character no better than a 36-question test would describe you. But it’s a good way to start thinking about how your character acts when confronted with issues of alignment.
Now that your character has taken the test, make a note of which questions scored in the opposite direction from your overall alignment. These exceptions can tell some interesting tales about your character Are you a good character with a greedy streak? Are you a lawful character who can’t stand the village elders? Don’t just roleplay your alignment -- roleplay your alignment exceptions, too. Few characters perfectly embody their alignment choice.

Yay for free stuff!
Friday, 3 December 2010 01:41WOOHOO! Got lots of free stuff today! Lots of books, too many to list here. Some VHS tapes too. Among the tapes is Shrek, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service! Got some stuffed animals, too. A little turtle stuffy, a lamb, a mouse, and Tiny Toons Adventures character "Calamity Coyote." Cute! Not my favorite Tiny Toon (my favorite is Gogo the Dodo), but cute.
The last few nights I've been reading "Lanie (American Girl Today)" by Jane Kurtz before bed. I like it a lot! Lanie is pretty cool. She's a science geek, especially when it comes to animals and the environment, wants to be a scientist, and she's blond! And she has a pet rabbit she takes on walks. I especially like the scene where her neighbor called the rabbit a rodent. Lanie said, "Rabbits aren't rodents," and the neighbor superiorly said "Of course they are." And Lanie said rabbits are... *looks up in the book* okay, she says, "Rabbits are lagomorphs, not rodents. You can look it up if you don't believe me." Ha! Way to shoot down that common adult failing of the undeserved superiority complex. Just cuz you're an adult doesn't mean you're smarter than a kid!
Good thing I don't give advice
Tuesday, 30 November 2010 22:40I was just lookin for some other magazines and happened to find my American Girl magazine from August. I started looking at the Help! column in the back. One girl was talking about being afraid of bees, and how she's scared of them, and whoever answers for the magazine told her to remain calm because they won't hurt you unless they feel threatened. And I said aloud, "Yup. Most bees will leave you alone if you don't freak out. Except the Africanized killer bees, those will swarm you by the thousands and probably sting you to death." So... I probably shouldn't be giving advice. :-D
But another one said her friends were in a crappy "band" and she didn't want to be in it, but was feeling left out. The magazine's response was a bit dull. I would have answered, "If you don't want to be in the band itself, join in by being their manager. You get to be paid to tell everyone how great they are and get them playing at places. And if you're good enough at managing, it won't matter how bad they are, cuz you can always use an autotuner on them."

Lanie! And other books.
Sunday, 28 November 2010 14:39So I'm starting to do some of my own reading, things that interest me, instead of just what the others like. I just checked out one of the American Girl books from the library; this one. I wanted to get "Lanie's Real Adventures," too, but they don't have it yet.
Thank goodness for the library website that lets me browse online and put books on hold online! I'd love to just browse the kids section of the brick-and-mortar library, but I'd feel too uncomfy to do that. 8:-(
I also wanna look into the Eloise books and possibly at the Junie B. Jones books. And if anyone has more suggestions, I'd love to hear them. :-)

Dear Santa!
Friday, 26 November 2010 19:40Dear Santa,
I want bath toys, like a rubber ducky, to play with in the tub at bath time. I want Disney Fairy stuff, especially of Iridessa. I also want LazyTown Stephanie comforter, a LazyTown Stephanie doll, all the LazyTown DVDs I don't yet have, and one of those fold-up scooters. Please and thanks! :-)
Oh, and if you could get the computer working right all the time, and get the tablet to behave well consistently with the computer, I would love that very much.
And I "second" everything in this post.
Sincerely,
Molly Elizabeth
PS = Santa, I know why you keep lists of the naughty girls. 8;-) Feel free to feel me freely. 8;-)
