The last few nights I've been reading "Lanie (American Girl Today)" by Jane Kurtz before bed. I like it a lot! Lanie is pretty cool. She's a science geek, especially when it comes to animals and the environment, wants to be a scientist, and she's blond! And she has a pet rabbit she takes on walks. I especially like the scene where her neighbor called the rabbit a rodent. Lanie said, "Rabbits aren't rodents," and the neighbor superiorly said "Of course they are." And Lanie said rabbits are... *looks up in the book* okay, she says, "Rabbits are lagomorphs, not rodents. You can look it up if you don't believe me." Ha! Way to shoot down that common adult failing of the undeserved superiority complex. Just cuz you're an adult doesn't mean you're smarter than a kid!
